Heritage Sites (Calle Aragones, Oslob Church, Cuartel, Park, Baluarte, Oslob Municipality and other government offices.)

Church of the Immaculate Conception (Oslob Church)

Calle Aragones

Cuartel
This Unique Structure was built through the effort of El Gran Maestro Don Marcos Sabandal to serve as the Barracks for Spanish Armies but was halted during the arrival of Americans in 1899

The Coral Stones used for its construction came from remnants of the collapsed floor of the Church bell Tower. The walls of the Structure which measure 19 Centimeters thick still stand. The Facade built of Coral Stones features a double bow of arches. (*Info: From the Cuartel's Marker)

The Park/ Breakwater

The Baluarte and Fr Julian Bermejo's Statue

What is the Baluarte?
The Baluarte was built in the same year as the construction of the fortress of DaangLungsod in 1788. It is one of the seven watchtowers built along the coastline of Oslob. The local people also referred this baluarte as lantawan or watchtower
It has a hexagonal plan, massive crenelated walls, gunslits and a small entrance. It occupies an area roughly 48 square meters and with a height of about 7 meters. (Info: From the Marker)

  1. Hi! I am going to Oslob end of this month. Hope you can answer the ff questions. Thanks!

The P100 multicab trip to the heritage site, is it a round trip fare? Are the tourist attractions in the heritage site near each other? If not how did you go from one to the other?
