Day II: Day Tour at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

July15,2011

By 4:30 AM, Arrived at Kuala Lumpur near Berjaya Times Mall. No Time Difference between MY and PH.
*We forgot to change our US Dollars to Malaysian Ringgit before we left Singapore and around that hour there were no 24-Hour FOREX open. We walked from Berjaya Times to Bukit Bintang Area and we bumped into Taxi drivers and asked where we heading? We just politely say No to them. (Another negative stories I read  that some of Taxi drivers in KL are scammers).

1st stop: Petronas Twin Towers

*Thank God I printed some maps of KL(No Maps at the Immigration Office at the Border) and we have a little idea where we heading to. We tried going to KFC, 711 and tried if they will accept dollars and luckily NO and we never gave up we scouted for any 24-Hour FOREX along Bukit Bintang  and luckily NONE.  What’s 24 Hour are the Massage Services  and some  those wearing black clothes tried getting our attention (“ You know Who”).So we continue walking going to Petronas Towers maybe a 1KM walk from Berjaya Times .Just check Google Map for guidance.

Why were we so early to KL?  We need to catch the opening time and be included to the First 900 walk-in guests  allowed for a Day Tour to SkyBridge(41st and 42st Floors) at Petronas Towers.Check their site here.

-From that long walk and early exercise we reached the Foot of Petronas Towers (Surreal . She is so Beautiful like Catherine Zeta-Jones  from the movie Entrapment)-Asked the security guard and informed us that the line at the Concierge will be open by 6AM and by 830-900am they will start accepting tourists to visit Skybridge.(We only took few pictures from our DSLR before it got battery emptied, Thank God I got my Digicam (a lifesaver for us Photo Addicts)

*Again we don’t have any  RM (Malaysian Ringgit) available. Banks and FOREX at Petronas Building will be open by 10AM.We don’t want to give up our slots for the line (We were part of the 1st 25 guests fell in line early). My only hope was my Credit Card as a mode of payment. The gates were open and it’s our turn to pay. Luckily, they accepted it and Secured our Tickets and we were the 1st batch to visit the SkyBridge. Thank You to my Credit Card. Indeed,You’re a Life Saver but don’t be an Impulsive Buyer. Hehehe
*At SkyBridge –they’re only allowing 15 to 30 mins (Im sorry I forgot) to stay at the Bridge per batch.

-From Merdeka Square, we took the Train at Masjid Jamek of Star Line and alighted at Hang Tuah Station and from there we walked to the area where we got off from Singapore earlier (It is below the Imbi MRT Station of  KL Monorail)

*At that area we tried some street foods and bought some goodies at 711 for our pasalubongs (of course it should have the “Made in Malaysia” brand). We also booked our tickets back to Singapore through Super Nice Express Bus (Pick Up Pt =Jalan Imbi K.L, Alight Pt= Beach Road, Singapore –Fare= 43RM with Free Mineral Water and Spacious Seats)

-Around 6:30PM -7 PM we left Kuala Lumpur and still it’s Sunny (like 4:30 PM in the Philippines) and we had a Stopover (I don’t know where? To Eat and Washroom Break) and Exited Malaysia(Bangun Sultan Iskandar Immigration) and Entered Singapore (The Woodlands Immigration) Again smoothly around 11:30PM- 12:00 AM.

-Back to our Hotel. Dead Tired. Sleep ( Didn’t Push through to visit their Red Light District and to try their Tiger Beer.Hehehe)
