Flight Details: Oct 11, 2012 (545H)  – Oct 13, 2012 (1855-2030H)
Airline: Cebu Pacific Booked Last: Nov 11, 2011 (11-11-11 Seat Sale)
 Accommodation: Viva Pension House (T. Claudio/Urdaneta Streets)
                -From the Airport, we rode a Jeepney (Sign:“Pueblo”-Fare P8.00) and alighted at T. Claudio Street.

5th stop: Shrine of Our Lady of Pilar (Open Church-Feast Every Oct 12)
                -paid courtesy,a lot of devotees, believe to be miraculous

6th stop: Back to City Hall Area (Starting Point of the Street and Float Parade)
                -participants from different secondary schools and colleges in Zamboanga City.
                -very colorful indeed

Back to Hotel, Tired and Exhausted. Rest from 3PM to 7PM…

7th stop: Paseo del Mar ( Baywalk Manila Counterpart)
                -“Visperas para Fiesta La Manana” “Hay muchos Gentes”
Spell M.O.B but no need to worry Policemen, Soldiers visibility everywhere.
                -“Tenemos Hambre” but there are no seats available…”Otra Vez, hay Muchos Hombres”
*Alavars in Paseo del Mar don’t serve Curachas,only at the Main Branch
                -Luckily we got seats at Barcode and had our dessert  at Knickerbocker (recommended by my officemate who is a Chavacano residing in Zambo also on her vacay)
                -Mini Concerts at the Paseo Grounds, Dancing Fountain added as one of the main attractions during that time and everybody’s waiting for the Fireworks Display (30 Mins) by 10PM.

Tips and Information:

-Dialect ( Chavacano(Spanish creole), Bisaya and Tausug).Don’t be surprised if you’re asking something and you heard  “Si!” from their reply–it means Yes in Spanish. Good Thing, I can understand and speak Bisaya and a little Spanish (work related). “Hinde ako Mabebenta dito!” 
- Airport: Look for the Entrance Gate and there you’ll find the Jeepney going to the Pueblo (Fare:P8)
-From the Airport to Pueblo (Jeepney Route), it’ll pass Camins Ave (location of some Lodges and Hotels near the Airport such as La Terraza,Marcia Inn and Garden Orchid), Jeepney will turn right to Jaldon Street , you’ll pass the street going to Atilano Compound (location of Pension Houses for budget travelers and also will pass the street going to Canelar Barter (goods from Malaysia for  pasalubongs)
-Viva Pension House – Rates are reasonable, Rooms are spacious, clean and fully air-conditioned with Hot and Cold Water Shower and Cable TV, Security is Ok, situated Downtown, very accessible but has No WIFI.
-Pueblo (Downtown) – T. Claudio and Streets Nearby ( A lot of Pension Houses, Lodges such as Skypark, Viva,Davids,Platinum 21, GC Hotel (History), and Yangs)
-Pueblo(Downtown)- Shopping Centers are Southway, Gateway and MindPro (Biggest) & Food Chains are Jollibee, KFC, Chowking, Dunkin Donuts and Mister Donut
-Pueblo (Downtown)- You can see a lot of signage with the word “Padjak” , a Tausug word for Pawn Shop.
-Tricycles are their Taxis in Zamboanga. Fare depends on your destination (P30-P50).Try to Haggle
-Other establishments close around 7-8PM for security reasons.
