Due to Typhoon Ofel, I was informed by a Ceres Employee that their trip to Cebu (via RORO) was suspended  as instructed by Coast Guard. Why? Because Negros Oriental and Cebu were part of Typhoon Signal #1 that time. In Short, I’m Stranded! I belong to the Thousands of Stranded Passengers around Region 7. No other choice but to stay at the Terminal and full of hopes that the suspension will be lifted anytime.

Stranded Passengers
My first time ever to experience being stranded on all of my travels. Now I know the feeling, Bored,Sleepy, Hungry and etc. I heard other Cebu Bound Passengers went back home to their respected towns such as Sipalay,Bacolod, Bayawan etc. Thank You Ofel for visiting us! But I always keep this in my mind “Patience is a Virtue”

After waited for 7 Hours, the suspension was lifted and we left Dumaguete Terminal by 12.15PM,after 45 minutes we reached Tampi in San Jose, Negros Oriental (RORO Port- There were long queues of Private Cars,Ceres Buses and other Vehicles). Ate my Lunch and waited for almost 2 Hours (Waited for the Barge from Cebu, Coast Guard Clearances and First Come,First Serve Basis of  the Long Qs)

Bye Negros Oriental by 3PM, gloomy, rainy and still a bad weather, 45 mins of ferry ride and Hello Island of Cebu by 4PM.Arrived at Bato, Santander Cebu.

Since I will pass by these areas of South Cebu, Here’s my Initial Itinerary(jampack). It should be like this.
-Morning- Whale Shark Watching in Oslob
-After Lunch- Simala Church in Sibonga
-Mid- Afternoon- City Tour in Carcar
-Evening-  Night with my relatives in San Fernando

Again, due to Friendly Typhoon Ofel it all spoiled my Itinerary .There always be a Next Time. So I dropped by and ended staying a Night with my relatives in San Fernando, this was a Surprise Visit, I didn’t inform anybody, My last visit was 2002. Chit-chats, gossips and etc. It’s like a mini-reunion from a Balikbayan from Manila (Hehe). I’m very happy and all of my frustrations were gone. Sleep (No Data Available)

The following morning, I visited the tombs of my grandparents, relatives, offered prayers and had a quick visit to  San Fernando Downtown ,and By Exactly 10am, I bade goodbye to my Mom’s Hometown and my Aunt offered me a Ride to bring me to the Northbound Terminal (For My Bantayan Island Trip) in Cebu City

*saved One Night Accommodation and Fare (Thank You Aunt! You’re the Best)
