Solo Backpack: Tuguegarao, Cagayan



I left Santa Ana Cagayan by 11am. Hello Again Tuguegarao by 1pm

Transportation(Santa Ana- Tuguegarao): Van (Fare P180.00)

Checked in(Tuguegarao): Hotel Lorita (P760 down to P680, they gave me a discount, Single Room with AC,CR,TV,Location near St Peter and Paul’s Cathedral, Downtown). “Very reasonable “ –advised from Gael's blog.

What to visit: Callao Cave (located at the town of Penablanca, Cagayan, 30-45 mins from Tuguegarao)

Transportation (Tuguegarao-Callao): Tricycle Ride (Fare: P40.00 per passenger,needs 7 pax/trike or hire a trike worth P500.00 RT),Terminal (Near Don Domingo Public Market, infront of Mariton's Supermarket).

But for me, I was fetched by a newly found friend in Penablanca,Cagayan and we went to Callao Cave by Habal-Habal.

-Anguib Beach Cove (Branded as Boracay of Northeast)- a 30min trike ride from Sta. Ana Town Proper.
-Sta. Ana, Cagayan a 3-Hour Van Ride from Tuguegarao.

-Sta. Ana,Cagayan (jump off point to Palaui Island and Home Of Cagayan Economic Free Port Zone,there are 3 Casinos..semi Subic but not that fully developed).
-Tuguegarao(Branded as the Hottest City in PH)- CONFIRMED! Napudot! Hace Calor! Inita uy!
-Wait for John Lloyd and Bea's upcoming movie-they will feature Anguib and Callao Cave according to locals.
-Anguib (pronounce as Angib), Callao(pronounce as Cal- Lao not Callyao)
-Spent 5K(Transpo,Accomodation,Food,Pasalubong and Extras)

    From our Angkor Wat visit,We took a different route from the usual clockwise direction of small circle tour, we took it counter-clockwise (was the idea of our Tuktuk driver) from Angkor Wat(Sunrise)-Sras Srang-Bantay Kdei-Ta Prohm-Ta Keo- Angkor Thom- Bayon- and last stop will be Phnom Bakheng (Sunset).                 *For SoutheastAsian Member Countries, VISA is free.For other Nationalities (Apply for Arrival Visa, I'm not sure How much will it cost)
                *Remove your passport cases such as plastics etc.(IO will remove it),just present your plain passport to IO and will pass the Thermal Scanning Area (Quarantine Section). One Cambodian Personnel said “Patingin Nga” then place the scanner near my throat.(Nagtatagalog teh? Hmmm..)
                *In Cambodian border, you will notice there are a lot of Casinos

                *We didn't bother to change our dollars into riel.They accepting dollars here as your mode of payment,make sure you have these small denominations($ 1,5,10,20,50)

                *We didn’t stay or try a tour in Phnom Penh (Nothing Much to See In Phnom Penh –according to an American Tourist later we’ve met in Siem Reap)
                *We took our Lunch and Booked a 1:30PM Bus ticket to Siem Reap ( $7/ 1:30PM- 8 PM/ 1 Stopover/ Free Mineral Water)

By 5AM, Woke up and Fetched by our Tuktuk Service and off  we go to our Tour

                *Why this early? We need to catch up the Sunrise at Angkor Wat

                *One Day Pass for Angkor Archaeological Park cost $20 per person (Small Circle Tour)
